BLINKERS ON RACING STABLE

NEWS

Blinkers On horse racing partnerships' Plane Lucky will try and prove she is ready for stakes action with a win in an allowance race at Del Mar on 8/31. Right Hand Man targets the Speakeasy Stake.

Plane Lucky and best friend Rafael Bejarano will try and get her NW1 allowance win at Del Mar on 8/31. After stumbling badly at the start in her last race Plane Lucky showed her heart with a game 2nd place finish. Plane Lucky should be heavily backed at the windows for Wednesday's 6 1/2 furlong sprint. This is the 4th race on the program and post time is 3:30. If she can come away with a convincing win she should be ready to make a start in one of the Cal-bred Golden State stakes races. Right Hand Man's easy win in the Cavonnier Juvenile Stake will lead to more stakes action for our handsome son of Street Boss. Not wanting to over race our promising colt the horse racing partnership has chosen the Speakeasy Stake at Santa Anita on 10/16 for his next start. This stake is run at 6 furlongs on the main track and carries a purse of $75,000.

In other racing news...Maven Harry will try and bounce back after a disappointing debut in a Maiden 32K race for 2 year old's going six furlongs on Del Mar's main track. This is the last race on the 9/1 card. Gee Street will make her debut at Golden Gate on 9/10 in a MSW race for 2 year old fillies. We shipped her north because we thought she would like the synthetic surface at Golden Gate with her strong turf pedigree. She worked in 59 flat, the bullet work of the day the first time she set foot on the surface so it looks like we might be on the right track. Jet Ski is hoping an extra race will fill for the last weekend of the Del Mar meet. Coming off a solid 2nd place finish in a 5 1/2 furlong race at the MSW (CA) level in his last start he should appreciate the extra half furlong in this weekends race. We just need another horse or two to enter, fingers crossed. Decoded and Last One Standing will be pointing to races at the upcoming Los Alamitos meet for their next starts. Finally, Gator Don't Play, our newest 2 year old in the Blinkers On stable is training well for conditioner Richared Baltas at San Luis Rey and will be moved to Santa Anita after the closing of the Del Mar meet.
