Look Me in the Eye will be shooting for his Maiden score at Del Mar on 8/1. He was a game 3rd in his debut at Santa Anita last month and should be double tough in this spot. This is a Maiden Special Weight race for 2 year old's and carries a juicy 70K purse plus a $17,500 bonus because he was bred in the Golden State. Leading rider Rafael Bejarano will be in the irons and the plan will be to come from just off the pace.We need to avoid getting involved in a speed duel on the front end, the scenario the cost us the last race. The extra half furlong should help as well. Off the Deep End will be looking for his 3rd Allowance win in a 5 furlong dash at Santa Rosa on 7/30. He stumbled out of the gate last out and the race was over. Gate to wire for our speedy son of In Excess. True Visionary drops into a $12,500 non two lifetime going a mile on the grass at Santa Rosa on 8/1. All time leading rider Russell Baze will be in the irons. All systems are a go!

In other racing news...Red Outlaw, our 4 time stakes winner will return to action in about a month at Del Mar, can't wait to see him back in action, he is training great. Plane Lucky, our 2 year old Lucky Pulpit filly, will be back in action at Del Mar in the next few weeks as well. She is coming of a nice 3rd place finish in her Maiden Special Weight debut at Del Mar on opening day. Last One Standing may start on 8/7 at Del Mar in a MCL 40K 6 furlong sprint for 2 year old's. He was gelded after his last start on 7/17 so we will see if he is ready to come back that quickly. Goose Bumps and Awesome and Ready are in the Steve Sherman barn at Golden Gate at may make a start at the Santa Rosa meet or wait until they return to Golden Gate on 8/21. Finally, Echo Chamber will get a few months off after getting ill. Patience is a virtue, we have very high hopes for this filly!
