Humming Beethoven comes up big at Golden Gate, wins by 7 1/2, undefeated Red Outlaw points to the El Cajon at Del Mar

Humming Beethoven teamed up with all time leading jockey Russell Baze at Golden Gate on Saturday to score a convincing win in a 1 mile Maiden grass race. Humming Beethoven was content to rate of the pace to the second turn, rallied two wide and took over the lead into the stretch then drew clear under hand urging only for a 7 1/2 length win. This puts Blinkers On's win percentage over 30% for 2014! Congratulations to the Blinkers On partners.

Red Outlaw is being pointed the 100K El Cajon Stake at Del Mar on 8/29. This is a race for 3 year olds going 1 mile, he should be very tough! Off the Deep End is set to go on 8/22 at Del Mar in a Cal-bred 1st condition Allowance race going 6 furlongs on the main track. Off the Deep End has won 2 of his first 3 starts and will be one of the favorites in this 77K heat. Nothing to Hide will go the following day in a 25K Claiming race going 5 1/2 furlongs on the main track. Nothing to Hide will be shooting for 3 in a row. True Visionary ran a decent 3rd in a 40K claiming race at Del Mar on the 16th. We feel he has more potential and we will try to improve when he makes his next start at the Santa Anita meet. Salute to Summer and Island Freedom are training well and both will make their first start when the Los Alamitos meet begins in early September. Our 2 year olds, Goose Bumps and Kiss at Midnight, are training forwardly for conditioner Peter Miller.
