Off the Deep End wins by 7 1/2 in smashing debut at Santa Anita, Nothing to Hide scores and makes it 2 in a row for Blinkers On!

Off the Deep End blew away the field at Santa Anita on Friday with a 7 1/2 length victory in a 5 1/2 furlong Cal Bred 50K Maiden race. With leading jockey Joe Talamo in the irons Off the Deep End had speed off the rail then angled in, dueled inside, inched away into the stretch then kicked clear and drew off under a long hold late to score. Off the Deep End earned a huge 89 Beyer Speed figure for the effort. I would think there will be a stakes race in his future. On Sunday Nothing to Hide made it two in a row for Blinkers On with a 2 3/4 length win against 9 rivals in Santa Anita's final race of the day. Sent off as the 6-5 favorite Nothing to Hide did not disappoint when she took the lead into the stretch and won clear for her Maiden score. Congratulations to the Blinkers On Partners!

In other racing news...Humming Beethoven and True Visionary will make their next starts within the next couple of weeks at Santa Anita, the new condition book will be out tomorrow and we will point to a race. Bullwhip will try and rebound at Charles Town on 6/20 in a first condition allowance race. We need Bullwhip to break on top like he did 2 back when he broke his Maiden. He gets a big heart on the front end! Our undefeated stakes winner Red Outlaw had his first 3/8ths work since his break and is on schedule for the stakes schedule at Del Mar. Great to have our star back! Island Freedom and Salute to Summer are back at Mike Puype's barn at Los Alamitos and are both looking at Del Mar for their next starts. Chilled Mousse and Goose Bumps, our good looking 2 year olds, are training with Peter Miller at San Luis Rey and are also looking to make their first starts at Del Mar. Finally, another promising 2 year old, Kiss at Midnight, has resumed training at Magali Farm, good news!
