Blinkers On has 5 probable starters during final weeks at Del Mar!

Friday, August 23, 2013
Blinkers On horses will be busy over the next 3 weeks at Del Mar. In order:
  • Running Water will make his first start on 8/24 in a Maiden Special Weight race going 6 furlongs on the main track. Joe Talamo will be in the irons trying to take down the lions share of the 75K purse.
  • On 8/31 Blinkers On should have 2 runners going to post... first Stole a Kiss in a Cal Bred Maiden Special Weight race for 2 year old fillies. Joe Talamo has the mount and Stole a Kiss should be very tough. She is coming off a strong closing 3rd at the same level and now will get an extra half a furlong.
  • Unseen Visitor is also possible for 8/31, she is coming off an unlucky 4th place finish after encountering traffic trouble. Edwin Maldonado retains the mount in this 6 furlong first condition allowance race run on Del Mar's Polytrack. On 9/1 our stakes winning filly, Hidinginplainsight, will try and knock out the 2nd condition in a 6 furlong allowance race on the main track.
  • Hidinginplainsight lays it down every time so you know she will be right there at the wire! Her next start following Del Mar will be the stake at Stockton on 9/28.
  • On 9/4, the final day of the Del Mar meet, our handsome son of Visionare, True Visionary, is scheduled to make his first start. This is a Maiden Special Weight race for 2 year olds going 5 1/2 on the main track. Our big striding colt will likely excel with more real estate but this will be a good education and if he gets rolling...you never know. Jockey TBD.
  • Top of the World, Mass Transit, Salute to Summer, Bullwhip and Nothing to Hide, all 2 year olds from the "Class of 2013", will be making their first starts at Santa Anita or at the Hollywood fall meet.
  • Humming Beethoven and Just Your Shadow are back from the farm, back in training and doing great! Next stop, Santa Anita.
  • High Test is back training after his brief freshening and is being pointed to Santa Anita's downhill turf course at the beginning of the meet, he loves the hill!
  • Island Freedom, Red Outlaw and Off the Deep End are enjoying the vacations at beautiful Magali Farm.
