Humming Beethoven faces 11 at Santa Anita on Sunday, Bullwhip to run on Derby Day at Charles Town.

Humming Beethoven's race finally filled and she will face a deep field of fillies and mares going 6 1/2 furlongs on the Santa Anita downhill turf course on the 27th. Humming Beethoven drew the 9 hole in a field of 11 and jockey Tyler Baze will be in the irons. Good luck to the Blinkers On partners! Bullwhip is targeting a MSW race on Derby Day at Charles Town in West Virginia. This is his chance to show his speed on the bullring. Trainer Jeff Runco says he has been getting over the surface nicely and said he should be super tough going 4 1/2.

In other racing news...True Visionary continues to train forwardly at Los Alamitos as he moves closer to his return to the races. Conditioner Mike Puype says True Visionary couldn't be doing better. Of course he is a big horse that is very athletic and has a beautiful stride, no wonder he is high on him! Nothing to Hide will look to rebound in a few weeks after disappointing and running 4th as the favorite in a Golden Gate Fields sprint. Red Outlaw has resumed training at San Luis Rey, it's great to have our undefeated stakes winner back. We should be pointing to a race in about 75 days according to trainer Peter Miller. Speaking of Peter Miller, he says Off the Deep End is a "runner". When Pete says something like that it's something to pay attention to. Boy I hope he's right! Island Freedom and our 2 year old filly, Kiss at Midnight, should arrive in trainer Mike Puype's barn in about 3 weeks. They continue to log miles galloping at Magali Farm where Salute to Summer is ready to resume training at the end of the month. Finally, Chilled Mousse, our 2 year old Pamplemousse colt, just had the bullet quarter mile work at San Luis Rey last week, not bad for a horse that should route!
