BLINKERS ON RACING STABLE

NEWS

Steph Being Steph scores in stylish So. California MSW win for the Blinkers On horse racing partnership! Angels N Devildogs debuts in MSW race at Los Alamitos on 9/16.

Steph Being Steph, named after the Golden State Warrior MVP Steph Curry, (sire Majestic Warrior / dam More Than Proud) lived up to her name with a dominant 3 3/4 length score in a MSW race at Los Alamitos on Friday. She sat off the pace and exploded at the sixteenth pole to draw clear. She was a 240K OBS April 2 year old in training purchase so our expectations have been high and she did not disappoint in this impressive performance. Her win earned her a spot in the Anoakia Stake at Santa Anita on 10/22.

In other racing news...Angels N Devildogs, our very quick daughter of Midshipman, will make her debut on 9/16 in a MSW race at Los Alamitos. Edwin Maldonado has the call and he should fit her nicely considering he is probably the best gate rider in So. California and she has gas! Plane Lucky is also scheduled to make her next start at Los Alamitos then the stable will move on to Santa Anita. We will have Gee Street going to post in a Cal bred MSW going a mile on the turf on 10/14. She ran a good second after a troubled trip at this level last time out. She should be double tough now that Kent has had a chance to figure her out. Gator Don't Play will also make a start in the first or second condition book after spending some time on the farm. Stakes winner Right Hand Man continues to look for a race, he is training lights out but he can't get a race to fill.Tough to be a 3 year old sprinter with no conditions left in California.

Finally, Blinkers On purchased two exciting yearlings at the Barretts Select Yearling sale. First the hammer fell on a Smiling Tiger filly. Smiling Tiger is the leading CA sire of 2 year old's. She has a lot of leg and scope for a Smiling Tiger, pretty filly! Next, Blinkers On bought a handsome colt by the first crop yearling sire Mucho Macho Man. Mucho Macho Man was a Breeders Cup Classic winner with earnings of over $5,000,000. He is a Kentucky sire but her dam foaled in California so she is Cal-bred! These yearlings will be syndicated in late October so if you have interest please contact .com or visit blinkerson.com and fill out a contact form and in the subject line mention Cal-bred yearlings.
