The Blinkers On 2 year old's have started breezing for trainer Jeff Bonde. With no setbacks these runners could be making there first start in late June or early July at Santa Anita or at Del Mar when that meet begins in mid July. Like all athletes they develop at different times so we will let the horse tell us when they are ready. The first horse to breeze for the partnership was Right Hand Man, our good looking son of Street Boss. He worked a furlong at Pleasanton last week in 12.40, the bullet work of the day at the distance. Gee Street, Jet Ski and Maven Harry will have their first works this week. Maven Harry, a son of the hot young stallion Coil, is training forwardly and looks very quick. Hopefully we can get him to the races early, he should be very tough in the Cal-bred MSW ranks. Big purses and the $17,500 Cal-bred bonus are up for grabs!
In other racing news...Last One Standing will be looking at a claiming race at Los Alamitos. The decision on the level and distance will be determined by Last One Standing's new trainer Richard Baltas. "Standing" was transferred from conditioner Peter Miller to Richard with the hope figuring out what needs to be done to get our horse back in the winner's circle. Look Me in the Eye will go on 4/30 at Los Alamitos in a Ca-bred MSW race going 6 furlongs. "Eye" showed such promise as a 2 year old at Santa Anita and Del Mar before being injured. Rafael Bejarano will have the mount again and the horse is training great, it's time for him to get his picture taken! Plane Lucky will also run in a 6 furlong Cal-bred MSW. Her race is on 5/1. Plane Lucky was also sent to Richard Baltas and she seems to be on the improve. She has always showed speed but With Rafael working her she seems to have been able to relax and finish stronger. Our horse racing partnership is ready to start rolling!
