Blinkers On horse racing partnership has purchased two filly's from the Fasig Tipton Mid-Atlantic sale. If you have considered making the move from spectator to owner this would be the right time. Both fillies are affordable and offer excellent value. Both filly's will race on the California circuit and will be trained by Mike Puype. We anticipate they will make their first starts in late summer or early fall.
Our Strong Mandate filly is a well balanced, muscular filly with good size. Her breeze in the Fasig Tipton Mid-Atlantic 2 year old sale was outstanding and sold us on this filly. She went an eighth in 10.2 and galloped out three eights in an impressive 34.3. She was moving beautifully, showing of her 24’2″ stride which placed her first by quartile. We feel we bought her right and offers exceptional value.
Our filly’s sire is Strong Mandate, a Grade 1 winning son by Tiznow. Her dam, Dear Rachel, is by the outstanding broodmare sire, Not For Love.
Our Strong Mandate filly will run on the California circuit and will be trained by Mike Puype.
Here is what Blinkers On’s Bloodstock Agent, Zach Madden from Buckland Sales had to say about our filly “the Strong Mandate filly looks like a superior athlete. She has size, substance and speed. Her stride length was exceptional for the entire sale. She looks like a stone cold runner”.
Our Vancouver filly is a beautiful, well made filly with a nice hip and shoulder. She physically looks like she will love the turf and is bred top and bottom for it. She worked an eighth in 10.2 at the Fasig Tipton Mid-Atlantic 2 year old sale, doing it the right way, with no wasted action. We bought this filly thinking there is a ton of upside once she gets a chance to get on the lawn if she can breeze like this on a deep dirt track.
Our filly’s sire is Vancouver, the Grade 1 monster from Australia. Her precocious dam, Holders Season, is by Speightstown.
Our Vancouver filly will run on the California circuit and will be trained by Mike Puype.
Here is what Blinkers On’s Bloodstock Agent, Zach Madden from Buckland Sales had to say about our filly “I loved the Vancouver…the way she moved so smooth in her work. She is out of a Speightstown mare, she bares a lot of resemblance to the good Speightstown’s with her hip and shoulder. I think this filly loves the dirt, but can even be better on the turf.
