Off the Deep End won for the 3rd time in 7 starts with a convincing Allowance score at Golden Gate Fields on Belmont Day. Off the Deep End was quickest from the gate and set the pace two wide into the stretch, responded when set down for the drive and powered home for a 1 3/4 length win. This race was 5 furlongs on the turf and it looks like this is his game. Our summer goal will be the Jess Jackson Owners Handicap. This stake is also at five furlongs on the turf and has a purse of $50,000 plus $15,000 for Cal-breds (Off the Deep End is Cal-bred). True Visionary, fresh off his Maiden win will be pointing to an Allowance race at Pleasanton on 6/21. He and Hall of Fame rider Russell Baze sure made that win exciting, getting up in the last jump to win the photo!
In other racing news...our 2 year old, Look Me in the Eye, is up to a half mile in his works and we are shooting for a MSW race at Santa Anita on June 26th. The last time I heard Mike talk about a horse like this was when Turbulent Descent was a 2 year old. She ended up a multiple Grade 1 winner for Blinkers On. Just the thought... Red Outlaw, our 4 time stakes winner, is back in training with conditioner Peter Miller and will be ready for Del Mar. Goose Bumps, Plane Lucky and Awesome and Ready continue to train forwardly for Peter Miller. Finally, our new additions to the stable flew in safely from Ocala and are settling in with Peter at San Luis Rey. Our filly, Echo Chamber, has already sold out. Our colt, Last One Standing, has a handful of shares remaining and will make his first start at the upcoming Del Mar meet. He had a 3 furlong bullet work at SLR, he's got talent!
